Description

What is involved?

The success of the Pink Ribbon Street Sales campaign is reliant on engaging with local businesses, leaders, groups, or students by having them volunteer their time and efforts either as a group with the “Adopt-a-Site” program, or individually! As a Campaign Engagement Coordinator, you will provide information on the various ways to be involved during Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October) by making phone calls (warm and cold), to businesses, community leaders, groups, or schools, as well as in person interactions, complete registration for groups by using CCS online scheduler tool. Follow up calls and thank you phone calls are all apart of this interactive role!

What you bring to this Leadership Position: 

You are excited about the prospect of raising funds in order to contribute to CCS programs impacting those experiencing breast cancer, and make lifesaving research possible.  Your organizational skills and interpersonal strength will enhance a successful campaign and create a meaningful volunteer experience for pin sellers both individually and group-based. You are looking for an independent work project, with the ability to incorporate your own creative ideas!

Position Details:

  • In partnership with Canadian Cancer Society staff, go over campaign goals, critical paths, and scripts
  • Make phone calls and send emails (using CCS email address), to engage new businesses, leaders, groups, or high schools and provide information on the Pink Ribbon campaign, and determine best fit for involvement
  • Track your calls and local interactions on a spreadsheet provided by the Canadian Cancer Society
  • Be direct contact for all new volunteers placed; register new groups/teams on online scheduler system. (To be supported by CCS staff)
  • Make follow up calls as needed
  • Make thank you calls to those who participated; informing them of funds raised, impact made, attend cheque presentations if raised over $1000.
